At Kindness Grows, we believe everyone deserves a life rooted in dignity, purpose, and community. Our mission is to create a safe, inclusive farm in Kansas City, Missouri, where people of all ages and abilities can connect with nature, build relationships, and rediscover the wisdom of simpler times. It’s a place to teach, learn, and grow together.

Julie Wiley, our Executive Director and Founder, has spent over 30 years championing personal choice and independence for people navigating care systems. Her experience taught her a simple truth: when people have control in their lives, they thrive. In 2014, Julie launched Simple Living Solutions to help individuals take control of their in-home care. But her vision didn’t stop there.

Kindness Grows is the next chapter in her mission, a farm where the community can come together to nurture the land, care for animals, and empower people with disabilities to lead meaningful, independent lives.

Kindness Grows is a hub for compassion and connection. It’s about reviving timeless values, fostering inclusivity, and giving everyone a space to feel seen, valued, and capable. Together, we’re building a farm that heals, inspires, and unites.
